Gauges, Regulators, and Filters

While our air bearings products are engineered to the highest standards possible, an air bearing is only as good as the air you provide it. To that end, New Way^® is pleased to be your supplier for all of the regulators, gauges, and filters you need in order to supply your air bearings with an air supply conducive to optimal performance.

Per our Care and Air guidelines, our air bearings should be supplied with Clean Dry Air (CDA) at 60 psi of pressure. The quality of the air the bearing runs off of greatly affects the lifespan of the bearing. For this reason, we highly recommend investing in your filtration system just as you’ve chosen to invest in our noncontact products.

Our officially recommended specifications state that in lieu of already purified shop air, your air supply should be filtered and regulated through a four-step process which includes:

1. A general-purpose filter which removes particulates down to 25 microns and protects the coalescing filter.
2. A coalescing filter to remove oil, liquid, and particles down to 0.1 microns.
3. A desiccant dryer to reduce the air’s vapor point by 40°.
4. A regulator valve to ensure the air supply is consistent at 60 psi.
